Why Volunteer at the Library?

The library is more than a place to find books. It is a place where people learn, connect, discover new interests, and build lasting memories. Our volunteers play an important role in helping us make those experiences possible.

Give Back to Your Community
Your time and talents can help make the Frank Sarris Public Library an even better resource for everyone in our community.

Meet New People
Volunteering at the library is a great way to connect with fellow community members, library staff, and patrons of all ages.

Share Your Skills & Interests
Whether you enjoy working with books, helping with programs, organizing, technology, or working with people, there may be a volunteer opportunity that fits your interests.

Gain Valuable Experience
Volunteering can help students and adults develop communication, organization, customer service, teamwork, and other skills that can be valuable in school, college, and the workplace.

Be Part of Something Meaningful
Every volunteer makes a difference. Whether you volunteer for a few hours, help with a special event, or become a regular part of our team, your contribution helps the library continue serving our community.
