Author Melinda Elise James Book Talk

Saturday, November 7, 2026 • 11 am to 1 pm

Location: Frank Sarris Public Library

Melinda Elise James is a local author, registered nurse, tenured leader, and book club speaker with nearly four decades of experience in the healthcare industry. Her background spans intensive care, emergency care, home health, and operations, as well as extensive experience in grief support for children and families. Her professional and personal experiences inform a compassionate voice grounded in the realities of how people live, love, lose, heal, and change.

In What Brings Us to a fuller version of ourselves,

Melinda Elise James explores twelve experiences that shape how we understand ourselves and the people we love most: among them grief, forgiveness, friendship, raising children, and the passing of time. Warm, accessible, and reflective; the book does not prescribe a single path. It invites readers to pause, consider their own lives, and uncover the answers that already live within them.
