Mission Statement:

The Frank Sarris Public Library provides information resources, programs, and services for the personal enrichment, education, and enjoyment of all residents and for the betterment of the communities.

Service Area:

Our service area includes the Borough of Canonsburg, Cecil Township, and North Strabane Township.  Each of the three municipalities, along with the Canon-McMillan School District, actively supports the Library.

Canon-McMillan School District

The Canon-McMillan School District is a public school district composed of students who live in the Borough of Canonsburg, Cecil Township and North Strabane Township in Washington County.  With an enrollment of over 5000 students, the district currently educates its students in five elementary schools housing grades K-4; two intermediate schools with grades 5-6; a middle school with grades 7-8 and a high school with grades 9-12. The following schools make up the Canon-McMillan School District: The Canon-McMillan High School, Canonsburg Middle School, Cecil Intermediate School, North Strabane Intermediate School, Borland Manor Elementary, Hills Hendersonville Elementary, Muse Elementary, South Central Elementary and Wylandville Elementary.

Canonsburg Borough:

Canonsburg is home to approximately 9,000 residents. The Borough is approximately 2 square miles in area and is predominantly residential and business use in nature.

Cecil Township:

Cecil Township is home to approximately 13,000 residents.  The Township is approximately 26 square miles and offers a mix of residential, agricultural and business uses.

North Strabane Township is home to approximately 13,400 residents. The Township is 27 square miles in area and is predominantly residential and agricultural in nature.
