Little Picassos
Ages: 2 – 5 years with an adult.
Inspire your child’s imagination and self-expression with hands on art activities. Each week there is a new make and take creation.
Madcap Mondays
Children in Grades: 3 -7
Join the fun for a program that explores a new activity each week. Try something new or do something that you already love. Registration is required. Register the week prior to each session at the children’s circulation desk or by calling 724-745-1308 (option #4).

Early Childhood Literacy Classes:
Escuelita (Little School)
Ages: infants up to pre-K with an adult.
Escuelita is a Spanish class that combines music, literacy and movement. This program builds secondary language skills and social skills all while developing gross and fine motor skills.

Happy Monday
Ages: All ages welcome with an adult.
Rise and shine and greet the new week with the sunniest story time session you can imagine! We will sing, dance and read stories designed to make you feel good.

Yoga and Movement
Ages: 2+ with an adult.
Stretch and be centered at this special yoga session for kids and their grownups! We use stories and child-friendly concepts to guide toddlers and up through a simple yoga routine. Learning yoga can help kids (and grownups) build concentration and focus, learn to manage stress and develop body awareness.

Family Night

FSPL Chess Club
Ages: All ages.
At the FSPL Chess Club we welcome all ages, from children through adults. All talent levels are welcome too. If you want to learn how to play chess, we’ve got you covered. If you already know how to play and want to join others for an hour of fun, drop in! This club is brought to you by the FSPL Teen Advisory Board.

Infant Literacy Class:
Babies, Books and More
Ages: 8-24 months with a caregiver.
This is a gentle language development program that helps build social and early literacy skills, and fosters bonding between caregiver and child. We enjoy books, songs, rhymes and movement activities.

Kindergarten Readiness Skills Class:
Pre-K Discovery
Ages: 4-5 years
Your child will enjoy stories, songs and games. Each class is a chance for them to practice kindergarten readiness skills such as listening during stories, early literacy skills, and following directions.

Music and Movement Class:
Wiggles and Giggles
Ages: 2-5 years with an adult.
Bring your little ones to stretch, sing and dance. This program focuses on movement while developing gross motor skills, listening skills, and social skills while also introducing new vocabulary.

Summer Quest
Ages: Children that have finished kindergarten up to those entering 4th grade.
Summer Quest is a themed-based camp that typically runs Tuesday through Friday, three weeks during the month of July. Each week is new theme! We spend the week listening to stories, doing crafts, playing games and making new friends. There is a small fee per child per week to cover the costs of supplies and any guest appearances. Registration is required and space is limited. Children can register for each week individually or multiple weeks – whatever works best for you and your child(ren). Registration information is usually available in May.

Teen Advisory Board
Ages: Students in grades 7 – 12.
Students meet monthly to plan, organize and lead activities that will engage and benefit members of the community. New members are always welcome! Stop by the meeting to learn more and see what we’re currently working on.
