What’s New – January Programs and Activities

Halloween Spooktacular Trick or Treat Walkthrough

We had a wonderful time at our Halloween Spooktacular Trick or Treat Walkthrough on October 24. Our staff and Teen Advisory Board members showcased their creativity through their costumes and decorated tables  – including favorite characters such as Velma and Belle.  In addition to the treats, guests had chances to win one of ten gift baskets including themes such as movie night, breakfast and warm and cozy!  Two photo spots were available including one fabulous witch and her cat that…

Request a Virtual WAGGIN Library Card

The Frank Sarris Public Library is happy to announce that virtual library cards are available to community members who currently do not have a WAGGIN library card.  Virtual library cards are available to all ages, and parent/guardian approval for those under age 18 is not required at this time.  A virtual library card will allow you to access our electronic resources such as eBooks (OverDrive/Libby), audio books (OverDrive/Libby), electronic magazines (Flipster), movie streaming and children’s shows (Kanopy) and community courses…

On Saturday, November 9, forty participants, from seven lively teams, joined library staff and Teen Advisory Board members for our Trivia Night of the Round Tables event.  Teams included The Cavaliers, The Knights That Go Huh?, Lost in Triviality, Pasta e Fagioli, Quizzards of Ahs, Red Hot Trivia Peppers and Too Many Baughmans.  We welcomed back old friends and made some new ones.  Teams competed for a $100 first prize and enjoyed Sarris candy bars as their door prize. Welcome Pollinators!

If you stopped by the library in the past week, you may have noticed some new plants near our parking lot entrance on Murdock Street.  These are no ordinary plants.  They are pollinator friendly plants and are a perfect addition to our pollinator garden that was started by Ms. Beth.  The library partnered with Bedner’s Farm and Greenhouse on this project.  Bedner’s graciously offered to lend their expertise in designing the garden, making plant suggestions, and donating the materials and…

FSPL Fan Fest – Bringing Cosplay to the Community

Overview of Cosplay/Costumes at FSPL Fan Fest No pop culture convention is complete without cosplay!
